Adult Day Program

The Adult Day Program provides communication, daily living, socialization, self-regulation, and pre-vocational training to adults that need a higher level of assistance. The staff are trained in behavior management and positive teaching techniques. The program is built upon best practices, see below, in the field of working with individuals with a developmental disability. Structured environment and daily routines are the basis for teaching activities of daily living and teaching individuals to respect others, develop independent living skills, and to meet my own needs while managing my own behavioral impulses. Community outings provide opportunity to transfer skills learned at the program into home and community settings. Those interested, have the opportunity to participate in supported work programs and receive a paycheck.

Children's Afterschool Program

The program focuses on training children in activities of daily living, community safety skills, communication skills, social skills, pre-vocational skills, and cooperative play. The program utilizes various approaches based upon best practices in the field of developmental disabilities, such as the Teacch model developed by the University of North Carolina.
